So, you know how sometimes you think you are doing something really fun for your family and then you get out and no one is having fun? NO ONE. Well, Mia did not want to go on our little hike to the beach this past week. Usually this is something she would love and she would have loved it if we were carrying her. She did not want to walk. She is quite possibly the most stubborn human being you will encounter, so she stopped herself in the middle of the path and screamed that she wanted to be picked up. We continued to walk and she just stood there screaming. Finally we got out of her sight (we could still see her) and she came running after us. I know people talk about the terrible twos but I think 3 is going to be our rough age. Two was a breeze. Eventually we made it to the beach and we all had a great time. This little episode was probably less than 5 minutes, but it felt like forever.

I have a feeling we are going to have our share of stubborn days. Thank you for sharing the good and the bad with us. In the end, all these moments are precious ;-)
ReplyDeleteDoes taking her picture change her behavior at all? I think if someone were to take a photo of me when I was having a melt down, it would be forced to think about how others were perceiving me right then. Maybe that's asking a bit much from an almost 3 year old. ;) Regardless- I love this picture!
